Beyond the headlines: A deep dive into the systematic strengthening that defined RSWM’s landmark year.
Some years leave behind headlines. Some leave behind habits. 2025 will be remembered for both.
It was a year that stayed close to the ground: to machines, processes, routines, and the everyday decisions that quietly decide how an organisation performs over time.
Across RSWM, the year was shaped by a deliberate tightening of systems and execution rhythms, less about announcement, more about alignment.
“Progress lasts when it becomes part of daily work,” said Mr. Rajeev Gupta, Joint Managing Director, RSWM. “This year was about building that into the system.”
In practical terms, 2025 marked a consolidation year defined by execution, institutional strengthening, and recognition across sustainability, manufacturing, and workplace practices.
RSWM 2.0: Performance That Showed Up on the Scoreboard
FY25 was a year where execution started showing real results. The business moved with better discipline, tighter cost control, and stronger operational focus. Improvements in planning, supply chain, and budgeting translated into healthier performance across the board. It marked a clear step forward from stabilising the business to building for sustained, profitable growth.
The narrative behind the performance mattered: improved order flow, stronger product mix, focused market strategies, and better operational parameters. Across plants and functions, attention stayed on stabilising throughput and tightening operational discipline.
Sustainability as a Manufacturing Decision
In 2025, sustainability moved further away from being a parallel agenda and closer to being a manufacturing choice.
Renewable Shift: A 60 MW agreement with Adani Energy Solutions will raise renewable energy usage from 33% to 70%.
Responsible Materials: Circular inputs are now part of the core mix. RSWM recycles 6.5 million PET bottles every day, converting them into 38,270 MT of recycled polyester, which now makes up more than half of total polyester usage.
Water: All manufacturing units operate on 100% Zero Liquid Discharge, enabling reuse of 22.3 lakh KL of water every year.
Cleaner Inputs: The company now uses 14,713 MT of bio-fuel, 11,674 MT of organic cotton, and 91,611 kg of organic manure annually, reducing reliance on conventional inputs.
This reflects the company’s guiding belief: “We only take what we can give back.” This transition sits within a broader sustainability architecture. RSWM’s Panchtatva initiative continues to guide the company’s approach to sustainable textile manufacturing.
Recognition: Benchmarking Industry Standards.
The year closed with strong external validation:
- SustainableNXT 2025: AR Choice Award | Sustainable Textile Manufacturer of the Year
- IGMC (India Green Manufacturing Challenge): Silver Medal for the Melange Unit, Bhilwara
- FE Green Sarathi Awards: Bronze Category Recognition for Sustainable Textiles
- Most Preferred Workplace 2025–26: TeamMarksmen (Manufacturing sector)
- Hometech Bronze: MATEXIL Technical Textile Export Awards (November 2025)
Taken together, these recognitions reflect a year in which RSWM’s progress stayed balanced across people, planet, and profit, strengthening shop-floor discipline, sustainability outcomes, and market performance at the same time.
“What changes organisations over time is repetition and consistency.” said Mr. Riju Jhunjhunwala. “2025 was about making sustainability and operational discipline part of everyday decision-making.”
The 2025 Mandate: Primacy in Every Dimension
In 2025, CMD and CEO, Riju Jhunjhunwala established a singular benchmark for the organization. The goal was no longer just growth, but leadership across four non-negotiable pillars:
- Innovation: Leading the industry in technical breakthroughs.
- Quality: Delivering zero-defect precision at scale.
- Design: Setting the global standard for development.
- Pricing: Winning through systemic efficiency.
“On innovation, quality, design, and pricing, we have to be number one everywhere. Only by excelling in these four pillars can RSWM become the leader across markets.” – Riju Jhunjhunwala, Chairman, Managing Director and CEO.
The Framework of RSWM 2.0: Reflect. Restore. Reshape.
Under the direction of Mr. Rajeev Gupta, Joint Managing Director, the year was governed by a three-point mandate: Reflect, Restore, and Reshape. This process moved the organization from a phase of rapid transition to one of systemic stability.
“Strong years are the ones that prepare the organisation for what comes next,” says Mr. Gupta. “2025 was about taking the time to restore what matters and reshape the system for the future.”
The Soul of the System: Every Thread has a Purpose.
The legacy of Founder & Chairman Emeritus, Shri L. N. Jhunjhunwala, remains the guiding force behind RSWM’s scale. It is rooted in the belief that service and institution-building are the highest forms of success. In many ways, 2025 carried that legacy forward, strengthening an institution designed to support industry, communities, and long-term value creation.
At RSWM, the saying holds true:
“Har dhaage ka hisaab hota hai: every thread has its purpose.”
And across geographies and generations, RSWM continues to follow the rhythm of work and purpose with Vision. Dedication. Consistency. Humanity. Courage. Hope.
And above all, of POSSIBILITY.
